Being versed in a number of mediums, Johnny never really stops working. When away from the tattoo studio, he still is always drawing, painting, or building projects like this web site.
In 2009, the Savannah studio got a visit from then
Skin & Ink magazine editor Bob Baxter, who brought his photographer to shoot two dozen of the best clients for a feature on Seppuku Tattoo. Bob was taken with the amount of art displayed in the studio's gallery & asked Johnny & Matt if they would create some art for his publication. Johnny was honored when his sketch for this cover was accepted, & the finished painting was published on the cover of the December 2009 issue. He still remembers all those long commutes on the Staten Island Ferry, reading issues of Skin & Ink & debating what leaving all his offices full of technology would be like, dreaming of a tattoo career to get him through those long all night shifts.
